Isn't there an old law that says if you have been using a piece of land for so many years without anyone claiming it or stopping you using it the land becomes yours?? Could be a load of bovine but ISTR reading it years ago

That would seem to be true in the UK, some of our neighbors have fenced off areas of common land on the corners, which makes seeing left and right out of junctions difficult now. I spoke with the council and they said they couldn't do anything as they didn't record when the areas were last mown.

I captured about 6feet of next doors garden, about 20 years ago, the day after the prevous owners moved out,
and its all mine now, as confirmed by my local council's planning department,
