Blyton 18.09.14 what circuit layout do we want?

Hi all,

I've had a visit from Richard Usher today, who owns Blyton Park.

He's asked me what circuit layout we want on the trackday.

We can either run the outer circuit (like the last 2 days), or we can run the Eastern circuit, or we can run 1 in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Here's a link to the circuit layouts on the Blyton website; circuit link

Cheers Frank

Be quick....

"A date for your diaries people, Thursday 18th September.
We're back at Blyton for another great day!!

It's the same as before, £100 per car, no extra for passengers, or extra drivers, but a donation on the day from the extra drivers/passengers would be greatly appreciated.

Any left over money from the day, I'm going to donate to a charity.
The last day raised over £1100 for the Showman's Children's Charity (Charity no: 1142014).

I'm ok with both unless it rains then the old style outer track only as it's got less places to hit somewhere

CHEAP TYRE FITTING £3

I live a mile away so will walk up but not staying....

I have been to a few tyre shops today in Gainsborough and arranged a discounted tyre swap service for Blyton track users. I seceded on HIQ because I have seen a lot of track cars here and the manager is really helpful and open to listen. It 5 miles from the track toward Gainsborough. You cant miss it if you come out of the track and turn right. Then at the T junction turn left. Go down that road to the Sharp S bend and they are on the left BEFORE the football ground.

They are happy to do the tyre swaps for the following

Upto size 17"

Tyre swap no balancing/ no valve £3
Tyre swap With Valve £5
Tyre Swap with Valve and Balancing £7

Minimum of 2 tyres to get this price.

HIQ
North Street Gainsborough Lincolnshire, DN21 2HS
.

Our opening times

Monday - Friday: 08:30-17:30

Saturday: 08:30-12:30

Hi all,

It looks like both layouts is the preferred choice.
Although I think I agree with Jossey, and if it raining we'll stick with the outer circuit, as there's less to hit if you get it wrong.

What do you all think of that?

Cheers Frank.

I did the Eastern circuit with the Westfield club earlier this year. Must admit, I didn't think it would be much good.. I was pleasantly surprised. My one concern though is on a busy day, you could get queues forming through the long sequence of bends on the infield.. it didn't really happen with the wscc as there were only around 30 cars total, and nothing too slow on track.
The other thing, is I think you have to do sighting laps again in the afternoon if the circuit's changed?

Eastern circuit:

Hi all,

A quick announcement about times at Blyton.

Camping the night before; the gates will be open until at least 9pm, but possibly as late as 9:30-10pm, depending on when the marshal who is there decides to lock them.
So, if you are camping and it looks like you're going to be later than 9pm, call me on my mobile 07815070491, and I will have a word with the marshal.

On the day, the gates will be open from 7am.
Signing on starts from 8am.
The safety briefing is at 9am.
After that it's play time!!!

Cheers Frank
