POR15 metal ready

I have to paint a couple of patches on my daily, and was thinking of using POR15 metal ready before I used a std spray primer then base coat. Not sure if this would be compatible with the POR 15. If not any suggestions , the metal is fine just some surface rust.

I have used the por 15 metalprep product and so long as you follow the instructions and wash off well and leave to dry I have had no problems with rattle can primer.

Metal Blast from Rust Bullet is good, not sure how it compares in price to POR15, but Rust Bullet paint is much better than POR15 paint.

I used metal ready and POR15 paint on my engine and gearbox in 2005. Its as good as new once the surface dirt is removed.
