Boot box

I'm after some sort of boot box?

I have some clearance above the tank

Maybe easier to make one out of Ali

Can't find a photo, but on my MK Indy I made a boot lid from thin plywood with a hinged plywood lid. The hinged part was lockable and allowed me access to the fuel filler cap. Would have been easy to add a plywood boot box below the hinged lid for storage etc. Cheap too!

I've seen some using plastic storage boxes as the tub and put a nicely finished bit of ply or ali as the lid.

Here is what I've done on my Haynes. Opening between the seats and not on top of the boot. Deep and wide enough to fit a good set of tools and anti-flat tyre spray.

Not seen that before and I really quite like it - a handy storage space!
