cortina/escort upright identification

Hello, I'm wanting to buy some nice new 4 pot calipers, but I don't know which uprights are fitted to my 1990 westfield. Can anyone tell me how to tell?

thanks

*Probably* Cortina for a Westfield of that vintage.

Westfield also supply fabricate uprights, but unles your car has been 'upgraded' it will more than likely have 'Tina uprights

Dont just build it.....make it!

The calipers to fit Mk2 escort and cortina uprights are identical anyway *they both originally used the M16 caliper.

Having said that the uprights are most likely cortina. If they are on double wishbones then they are definately cortina. Escorts used struts.

how much for the hubs Jason?

BurtonPower tell me that cortina uprights could take m12 or m16 calipers, depending on whether it's mk1/2 or later. mine has upper and lower wishbones - but still haven't figured how to attach a photo

Definitely Cortina Uprights, same as mine on 1986 Pre-Lit.

M16 calipers which can be replaced by Stuart Taylor 4 pots (I got those, look and work really good) or Austin Princess 4 pot (rockin' horse droppings now)

Cortina.

M16 calipers.

Hi-Spec do bolt straight on calipers and Wilwoods will go on with an additional bracket.

Try raldes.co.uk for your Wilwoods and Hi-Spec direct for the Hi-Specs.

Hope that helps,

Pat...
