I'm exhausted...phew!

Here is a pic of my exhaust which i have just fitted. Ok it may not mean much to any of you lot but seeing as i have waited about 4 months for it (it's 2nd hand and i had to wait for a good reason ) it means allot to me.

It was taped together with brown packing tape which has stayed on. What's the best method of removing the tape residue?

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

WD40 may work. Failing that Mr Muscle kitchen cleaner is pretty good at removing glue residue.

Spray on brake or carb cleaner.

Leave fora minute then wipe with a rag.

Pat...

ooohh that is luvverley. Looks very similar to my Mac#1 system. If it is the same you will be a very happy bunny.

I use panel wipe for removing tape residue. Acetone, petrol, carb cleaner should all work (keep agressive stuff off the bodywork).

A nice exhaust system is what makes these cars look so nice. The downpipes take on a better character when bronzed. I only keep the silencer shiny silver.

Awsome

To get the packing tape off just wipe it over with thinners, leave it a few seconds then wipe it all off. Should come off very easily.

An exhaust is the last major expense on mine now...and I need one like yours (Infact Darren recommended the MK one...). Might just have to wait until a second hand one comes along.
