catch tank return pipe
Hi
To save keep empting my catch tank i was wondering if its posible to plumb a return back to the sump?

Did you fit the return above or below the oil level in the sump?

there are those that would recommend just disposing of the used oil, rather than draining back into the sump.
somethin about dirt and/or moisture and the minimal value of the "saved" oil.

I just had a boss welded in the side of the sump, actually i'm not sure if it is above or below the oil level - but it doesn't really
matter.
Saving the oil is the least important bit - I just found draining the tank a real pain in the a*** my breather system is sealed apart from a good
quality filter to the outside. The moisture gets out when the engine gets good and warm just the same as with any engine so no problems there. The
tank just acts as somewhere for the oil vapour to fall out of the air before going back into circulation just like inside the crankcase.

I had the catch tank draining back in to the sump on my xflow, I looked one day to see what was going back in and it was not a good sight
It was blanked off after that and a tap put on the bottom of the tank,
