Braided Brake Pipe - IVA
Hi There
i need to get some Braided Brake Pipe but i dont know what paperwork i will need for the IVA test man, can someone please point me in the right
direction

Mine passed 12 months ago without any paperwork. They did have a plastic coating over the stainless braid.
Best to avoid the type you can make up yourself using compression olives.
Ask Russbost on here, he makes them.

Mine also passed IVA 3 weeks ago without any questions about the braided brake lines.
They also came from Russbost

What exactly wrong with self made pipes, I used to make flexi pipes for aviation use no problem so what is the hassle with IVA and flexi pipes?

They will in all probability fail because they are only as good as the person assembling them makes them.
The swagged ended ones will pass, no question. I made my own, but have since replaced them with Goodridge hoses.

I do not have any personal experience of brake hoses made with olives. I was passing on comments made by others in other similar discussions in
relation to IVA.
