MK Indy Chassis (Unused) plus LOTS of other parts - OFFERS ?
Hi,
I have decided to put up for sale my MK Indy Chassis and quite a few parts. Almost all are unused.
I am not 100% sure as to what the correct part names are, but I'm sure you can work it out.
Unfortunately, I have no price in mind and would prefer to sell complete, but if I have to split later down the line then so be it. I would prefer
to see if I could sell it complete for now.
PHOTOS Below if it helps.
Powder Coated MK Indy Chassis (unused, circa 2007 but could be older - little bit of flaking on the powder coating),
Yellow Cycle Wings (New)
Yellow Aero Screen (New)
Black Fibreglass Dashboard (New)
Boot Base (New but marked)
Round Tube Front & Rear Upper & Lower Powder Coated Wishbones (new - little bit of flaking on the powder coating),
Flared Brake Lines with Flexi Hoses (New),
Handbrake Cable (New for Drum Brake - Sierra?),
Mushrooms,
Shortened Steering Rack / Rod Arms,
Track Rod End Extensions,
MK Wiring Loom with fuse and relay holders (New),
Chassis Tag Plate (New - unstamped),
Some Polybushes (New)
Right Angled Speedo Drive (New, believed to be for a Type 9 / Sierra)

Hi,
I would rather not split but if I have further down the line then yes I would post parts at cost of postage.
For Now - I am only really interested in selling complete

Update re the chassis age.
The Chassis was bought at the same time as the flared brake kit - and the date on the sticker for the brake kit is 10/09/2007.

Hi,
I did say in the original post that I would prefer to sell it complete (even though I mentioned offers).
Then after quite a few offers for some of the bits, that I thought were on the low side, I decided to plumb for the eBay option - that said, it is
still open to offers on here for all the kit (for now and if I fail to sell I will split as per my OP).

I don't understand the above post? How can you fail to sell with a no reserve auction on Ebay?

Numerous ways. As per the listing "
* Advertised elsewhere - I reserve the right to withdraw from auction @ ANY TIME"
Someone on here could offer me an acceptable amount for the whole kit, or the winning bidder may not pay.

I think the term "offers" puts people off. If you put up a baseline figure of what you want for it i'm sure it prob would have sold
by now.

add to that you cannot close the auction in the last 12 (or is it 24) hours.
I think the 99p start type auctions are a royal pain. Serious bidders tend to avoid bidding often until the last few seconds. the number of times an
item has been very cheap, and then a few minutes from ending shoots up...trouble is it can be a risky strategy. Hence the reserve price option, or
even starting it at the minimum price you would take, which then is crystal clear what you want for it and stops timewasters etc. Of corse, the
classifieds with make an offer is ideal too (very good for selling cars, the auction doesn't shut until you say so)

Hi,
I agree with you regarding the "offers" bit. But I am new to the kit car scene and don't really know the worth of these parts.
More so because most of them haven't been used.

absolutely agree. however you know what its worth to you i.e how much you paid minus a bit for being second hand. All i'm saying is if you put a
price on with a bit of room for bartering i think this would have sold the first day or two of advertising.
