MK Indy/Westy Chassis

Hi all,

I have for sale my old chassis for a seven type. It was made by some guy in bedfordshire but lost his details. It is, for some unknown reason, all MK Indy dimensions but with westfield front suspension.

The reason I am selling it is because the gearbox mount needs adjusting and its out of my range of ability. When the engine (zetec silvertop) is in place and connected to the gearbox (type 9) and aligned correctly, the bonnet will not fit on by about 2 inches. The sump is nearly inline with the bottom of the chassis so there is room for the engine to drop. But only if the gearbox mount is moved.

It comes with the front wishbones bought directly from westfield. All the body work I have (bonnet, nose cone, scuttle, dash, rear panel) are all MK indy and fit perfectly, BODYWORK IS NOT INCLUDED IN SALE, just letting you know MK stuff fits. Brake pipes fitted.

It is a good solid chassis, it is just in need of somebody who can weld and has the equipment to make up the correct gearbox and engine mounts.

Open to offers.

Located in Southampton.

I will post pics this evening.

Cheers.

The engine sits far enough forward tho so that the nose cose also would need a section cutting out.

I'm not normally an advocate for bike engines, but that would solve your problem
