steering rack

hey chaps, just found out after stripping and refurbishing my sierra steering rack, that its not what i need - im looking for a mk2 escort rack, so if anyone has one going spare, or needs a sierra one, in exchange for some beer tokens, iwould be grateful.
also, i have a 2Li sierra breaking if anyone needs anything. cheers
Tom

Not sure, but it may be easier to have the sierra rack shortened. Try doing a search, I'm sure it's come up before.

Cheers,

Chris.

i could shorten my rack, but the mounting brackets dont lie up with the holes in the chassis mount things, so would ideally like an escort rack so everything lines up - but im learnign how scarce escort bits are
thanks

Sure you can still get them new, not OEM, but unused. I rang someone last year (unfortunatley don't know who) and they told me that they had new units available for under £40. At the time I was looking for the track-rods, but haven't been able to find any of those.
