Why have twin exits at all ?

It occured to me that I could just put a tee piece after the exit of single exit reservoir ? is there a requirement to have seperate exits from the reservoir for a twin system ?

If one system failed i.e. leaked or whatever then the light would come on anyhow, and there would still be a head of fluid in the pipe from the tee to the other cylinder, enough to stop the car anyhow.

Cheers

James
