Usually available in imperial sizes, so 3 x 1 would be a stock size or 2 1/2 x 1 ?

Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just

1.5mm? could it be thinner? i'll probably need a thickness that i can fold easily enough with some bits of wood and a hammer/mallet

cheers Andy. might be a bit too narrow though i think. would maybe be happy 2" (70mm is 2.75" ) and the remaining 0.75" might need a spacer to stop it rattling in the channel. i plan to put a bolt through it somewhere to bolt to the steel channel in the chassis though
