2013 Season Round Up

Following this from last year, I thought I ought to do the same again:

Once again my father and I have been competing in the HSA Speed Championship. This year:

11 of the 12 events entered resulted in points, excluded from Goodwood for excessive noise.

During the 11 events (circa 110 runs), only 2 runs were not completed due to technical issues (both on my dad's runs, both throttle pedal related).

In all 11 of events I beat my father.

92 points, 1st (/5) in class, 25th (/115) overall.

2 event class wins, 11 championship class wins.

2nd Fastest Time of the Day (Llys-y-Fran).

Most importantly... 7 new personal bests!

This is also true! We've been chasing the weak link in the system for years. This year he pressed the throttle so hard that it bent around the throttle stop and wedged behind it!

I've had the pleasure of seeing Adam and the rest of the family compete a few times this year and it's safe to say there has been no letting anybody win going on :-)

What class do you compete in? Am I correct in saying that all bike engined sevens come under SportsLibre as opposed to the kit car category?

I compete under the Modified Specialist Production category. The regulations allow for any engine that was produced for a land-going vehicle in quantities of over 1000 units.
