chaffing clamshells

Hi guys I have a global GT which is getting a new engine fitted soon but I want to work on my aero and bodywork as that is going to be the next thing holding me back. The plan is to make a few aero tweaks between sets of engine upgrades. But at the moment I have a problem of chaffing between the panels. Is there any off the solutions to cut it down that last for a reasonable period of time? I have tried using draught excluder and it works but nowhere near as well as I'd like or for long enough. Any help is greatly apreciated

Sticky-backed Velcro. If the glue fails, stick a few pop-rivets in.
