Cars been built around a 1600 pinto Tom so I was looking at something that would be a straight swop out.
Cheers,
Bob

Tom,

If you're breaking the car and have the steering column headstock I could use it - name your price.
The switch lugs and steering lock are totally broken on mine (from an 89 F 2L Auto Estate).

Rgds,
John.

I've got a 2.0 pinto available, BUT its out of a Sierra P100 and hence is the low compression engine. Does have all the ancilliaries though (except clutch) and comes with its type 9 gearbox.
It does have the 205 block and an unleaded head so would be a good basis for a rebuild (if you wanted to fit the high compression pistons and a different profile cam.)
I was told, though, by a stock car racer, that they fit the 1600 head to the 2.0 as this gives a higher compression ratio!
Other main problem, is of course, location.
I'm down in sunny Devon which is obviously quite a ways from you!
Looking for £50 for the lot.
P.S.
I also have a spare 1.8 pinto available as well.

Cheers,
Andy.

tom
