Glasgow SVA

Just put in for SVA in Glasgow. Has anyone been throught the test there who might have advice on any 'peculiarities' they might look for? Or things you were picked up on?

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary
Mine was done in July 2006 no real probs and I would say good guys to deal with. To be honest probably not as picky as some of the guys down south given they don't see the number of build cars going through SVA up here. Adjustment of h/lights was only thing picked up on mine, which he let me adjust while he had a cuppa. Only other thing was noises re brake balance adjuster locking, following input from his gaffer agreed ok and passed. all down to the level of build & presentation of the car though , as long as you have done your homework you should be ok.
Not exactly handy location though.
Don't forget to post some decent pictures and the boys here will offer thoughts on the completed car. cheers & good luck Dav.

I was a bystander when JimM went through on the 15th aug. I would say the guy is fair. He will give you some time at the end to do some work providing it is not to severe. First thing he checked was emissions so make sure they are on and make sure if your engine is pre 95 you have a letter from ford to say so.

SVA Glasgow

Went through last year - April. Very fair Will listen to what you have to say and if corrct will change his opinion. Will allow you to correct anything minor if you can. Overall a good assessment centre.
