Width of transmission tunnel

How wide should the transmission tunnel be for using a Pinto engine with an Escort diff and propshaft?

Thank you

Wide enough for everything to fit, plus a bit spare!

Hang your engine and box over chassis and make tunnel accordingly.

Transmission tunnel width

Unfortunately I don't have my engine and transmission yet. I have already built up my tunnel (based on the book dimensions I think) but wanted to check with somebody before welding the floor on.

Does anybody have this combo and would be good enough to measure for me?

Cheers

Cozza, u also want to say wot g/box u gona use.

btw I am using xflow, and 4 speed g/box and escort axle. Standard book sizes are fine for tunnel.
