can anyone id this bolt marking please?
Just got some new harness bolts from europa that have this marking on that I have never seen before, and wanted to check out the bolt specs before i
trust my life to them.
Has anyone ever seen this marking before and/or know what it means??

Dont know TBH but they look cheap!!

never seen anything like that before. but surely the bolts need to be to BS spec, or similar,...?

I think S denotes, High Tensile Imperial Thread. It's just larger than normal. Or its just manufacturers symbol.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

S is safety and you'll find it on a lot of old seatbelt bolts which are usually imperial sizes (7/16th UNF?) with a shallow head (alot
aren't marked at all). I've never seen it marked like that though; Usually just a plain S. I used bolts from an old tin-top that only had
S on them and my tester asked for a second opinion, which was that it was OK.
If I remember correctly the old SVA manual had a list of min requirements and a proviso that unmarked bolts supplied with harness' were
acceptable

Same as what came with my seat belts Sabelt and passed ok on SVA but don't know about IVA

Yep sabelt bolts. Mine failed and they needed a certificate. So just got new bolts with 8.8 on

Hi,
Thanks for the answers, sounds like I need to ring Europa tomorrow to see if they have anything to prove the grade otherwise I'll be sending
them back.

i'd just go for some 7/16" cap head bolts. almost always 12.9 grade, and even if they're not marked, they'll pass anyway as
its very rare to find any less than 12.9
