Wheel powder coaters - Essex/Suffolk
As I know there are a few people in the area, I thought it worth asking for any recommendations.
I have a set of Ronal alloy wheels, as originally fitted to the Ford Escort GTi (i.e.
this sort)
I want to get them powder coated - any recommendations on where I should take them?
Also - they have plastic centre caps which cover the wheelnuts, do I spray paint them separately or would they get finished by the powdercoaters too?

I've used a number of places over the years for wheel painting and coating, so here's my 2p's worth....
- Maldon Shot Blasting & Powder Coating (expensive, long lead time at present, and wheel has to be bare ie. no tyre, valve etc.)
- H&S Powder Coating in Latchingdon (very helpful & quick turnaround, although only had panelling done there, not wheels)
- Paint It in Billericay (had two sets of wheels done there a while back, although not used them recently - wheels can be taken in complete, and they
strip and rebuild them afterwards)
- Rim-Renov8 in Colchester (never used them, but came recommended - also do diamond cutting as well)
- The Wheel Specialist in Colchester (used them for two sets of wheels recently, and found them very helpful - two AMG Merc wheels needed repairing
before painting thanks to the wife, and they strip, repair/paint, and put back to good incl. fitting to vehicle if needed. No affiliation, but highly
recommended!)
Hope that helps!

I use impact coating in Colchester (next door to rollerworld) for powder coating and wet spraying. They’ve done a couple of sets of wheels for me as
well as a chassis and never had any problems with their quality of price.
