Remote custom Tonneau cover service
Hi all,
Would anyone be interested in a custom Tonneau cover service. This is something I am thinking of starting as a service following recent successes and
a potential gap in the kit car parts world. This is how it works:
For a set fee, there are two sizes available. They are only available in black vinyl with a finished black edge trim and black press studs (LCB is not
allowing me to upload at the moment, but I have pictures of the level of finish) at the moment but there may be potential for some limited
personalisation like vinyl colour or edging colour:
Half - 600mm x 1200mm max size and 15 press studs cost approx £150
Full - 1200mm x 1200mm max size and 25 press studs cost approx £200
1. You receive an all inclusive kit which allows you to make a template and post it back. All postage is included.
2. The template is used to make the cover accurately and completely custom to the size and shape you want, which is sent back to you with the press
studs (and fitting tool) bagged ready to fit.
I have ironed out all the details but don't need to give a whole war and peace if there is no interest.
So, Do people think this is a good idea? Does the costs seem ok? Anyone interested?

If you stick up your email addresses, I can send you some pictures. Send them in a PM so they are not free for the world to spam.
I have another one to do first, so I'll also get some pictures of that one, hopefully by then I can add pictures to the top of this thread.
This other one has a hump for a high back GRP seat. Something that if you want, I'll have to work out material costs for.

I still can't get pictures up at the moment which is frustrating but do you mean like a half cover for the passenger side only?
TBH I scoped out the sizes as people may want to use this service for all sorts. The "half* size can be used for a boot cover as well as
passenger side cover. As long as it's a flat thing that you can make with just the plastic sheet I provide then I try and make it.
If you want to send me your email address I'll send the passenger cover I have made.
If a half hood is something completely different then maybe put up a link of what you are looking for and I will see what I can do.
