alternator back feed
I have just changed to a digital dash, and all the warning lights are working etc. When I turn the ignition off the engine keeps running. I have
tracked this to the Alternator warning light feed. Voltages are correct 0v when ign on / warning light on and 13.5 v /light off with engine on
tickover. I have seen some info online about this and one of the fixes is to put a diode in line before the warning light, however some articles say
that this could cause damage to the alternator. It was working fine before I changed over to digital dash, and I have changed no other electrical
items or wiring.
