aldi compressor, paired
hi all.
Bought the compressor from aldi today, and paired it up with my old one. There should be a picture showing them linked, a small bit of messing about
due to the new one coming with unusual quick release fittings, its now sorted. Pressure stays high even when using the air grinder, both kicked in
together and it kept going strong the useul duty cycle was more than i needed before i had to stop to clean the bit.
Theres a few mods needed (mainly a thick pair of gloves!) likea couple of short leads to simplify the link, and a wall mounted reel etc. Should be
nice.
Just a few comments on the aldi compressor, its awesome! It has two outlets, so if you bought two of these new you could link them, have use one
outlet and have the last one linked to a large reciever. If i was a bit richer id get it all now (ie a second and ditch the old one). Its also a bit
quieter than my clark one.
I really cant stress it enough, if you are considering getting air tools this year, get two of these compressors now and you wont need to upgrade for
at least 3 years (3 yr warranty). Big thumbs up from me.
ps, anyone want to buy a few of the spare tools?! ive got two tyre inflators now  £3+p+p.
pps, it comes with a hose, tyre inflater, blower, paint gun, air brush and some sort of parafin blower?

Just bought one also got the impact gun for 20 quid it seems really good value for money considering the stuff you get with it
i got last one in wakefield store
all i need now is to find some decent air tools on ebay

they also have grinders for £9 and grinding/cutting wheel kits for about £3
you'll have to be quick though

I got some grinding wheels, 125mm velcro backed disks for my da sander and some metal paint. I bought some of their paint last time they had it in
and can highly recommend it, very good brush finish.

Joel, did you simply connect up the outlet of your old one to one of the connections on the new aldi one?
Anything else needed?

i bought a Y piece from machine mart for £14 before i knew it was a twin outlet one. The aldi ones have unusual quick release fittings, best bet is to
replace them with regular fittings before filling it. Then you can indeed use one of the outlets and no Y piece  All the threads are standard, if a
little stiff!

Is there any benefit in connecting this way over, say, opening both output valves fully and then putting another pressure valve after the T-Piece?

i think that once you have a 10mm bore pipe, you dont need any more flow.
