edge of exhaust hole

as per the title - does the edge of the hole you make in the bonnet have to comply with the 2.5mm radius issue? I want to outline it with S/Steel.

It's difficult to get the old test probe to it but I just lined it with fall-offable trim just in case.... (though to be fair my exhaust port was in the side of the ali sheet so blooming sharp).

Dunno, but if it's ali you can roll the edge of the hole over edge inwards using a former so it does meet the radius requirement

Iv been thinking about this for a while. My exhaust is steel and is pretty sharp. Im abit afraid putting rubber trim round it might burn?

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I have made the stainless surround, and rolled tabs underneath and I don't think the edge will be an issue because of the 100mm probe, but I think the outer edge might be a problem as this will be 'contactable'.

I could do one of three things -

1 - leave it off until after IVA.
2 - 'feather' the edge?
3 - fill up to the edge with laquer so it isn't an edge anymore - the S/S is only 1.5mm thick.

What do you think?

Photo to follow soon...
