Changing crown & pinion gear in diff

Can this be done in a pretty well equipped workshop or is it a specialist job? Does the end float & run out have to be set up?

Any advice welcomed!

Chris

Entirely possible but you will need to setup depth of mesh, pinion preload, crownwheel preload and backlash.

Thanks for that.

Might be better to buy a diff with the correct ratio already then.
