Stalisfield, in between Faversham and charing somewhere, I'm going to make a carbon fibre spoiler type thing with it attached on there I think, should look good, maybe not so good for handling....

Hmm didn't Caterham put a 7 in a wind tunnel once and find that a front number plate fitted low down on an angle offer good aerodynamic down-force for the front end ?

Seeing as the penalty for an illegal front plate (small or vinyl stuck on fr example) is worse than the penalty for no front plate, I don't understand why people bother running illegal plates.

me neither, or at Mot time, and My Mot guy has always stated that as long as the plate is readable, while standing at the front of the car, its a pass

I did exactly the same on my Indy with a number plate the same width as the nose cone. Looked good, didn't overhang the nose cone side to side or underneath. No attention from the police even when parked outside the police station.

Technically, yes, as they won't have been produced by a registetered number plate supper and/or won't meet the criteria for a legal plate. Also a number plate should fixed in a vertical position or as close to vertical as possible, flat on the nose cone isn't as vertical as possible.

ETA I am not saying I agree with the above or will will always completely comply, but them the rules.

I don't run a front numberplate. £30 fine for not having one and for the amount of miles I do I don't think it's worth it IMO.

I like it! Just like riding a bike again - front facing cameras are rendered invisible

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure
