Scuttle & Bonnet
Later in the year I'm planning to make / buy a new scuttle and bonnet for my car. The reasons are twofold, firstly the non-symetrical ST scuttle
I currently have is annoying me (because its crap) and secondly, the ST scuttle is dimensionally wrong causing me other problems. Principally that the
screen is too far forward of the driver and sidecreens (that I wish to make) would be about 4 to 5 inches longer than I would like. (And 8"
longer than Caterham ones that I have borrowed).
Has anyone bought a Lolocost scuttle and if so does it fit a book chassis? If you do have one can you let me have dimensions for checking against my
own chassis?(home made, to the book).
I presume that the Lolocost screen assembly (which I have) is a good fit on their scuttle?
Has anyone bought one of their bonnets? I am attracted to the idea because I need louvres. If so, their website says girth at nosecone is 36"
(exactly same as my ST nosecone) but that girth at scuttle is 43". I find this hard to believe (chssis at that point is about 38" - I
think it should be more like 49". Can anyone check?
Thanks in anticipation,
PS: Please exercise restraint, those of you who can't resist having a dig at RH!!!!

i bought a stainless scuttle from them, it fits perfect, i also took my nose cone to them, and they rolled me a bonnet which also fits fine.
My chassis in the scuttle area is "book"
i know RH gets a dig from time to time but for bodywork such as the above there as good IMO as anyone else.
