Touching Up GRP

Anyone got any tips for repairing small scratches on GRP?
My bodywork is black GRP, will coloured polish be any good or are there better/specific ways to deal with it?

If the scratch has not gone through the gel coat, flat it back with 2000 wet & dry, and polish it back to gloss with a non amonia cutting compound
