indicators
Hi, is there any reason why a side repeater cannot be used as a front indicator??
Briefly looked through SVA pdf, unable to see if there is a min lamp size just the norm of min and max height positions.
Thanks

It seems wrong to me - but I don't really know why
Could be the wattage of the bulbs is very low in the repeaters, or the requirement to satisfy the tester that if they are not E marked then they are
suitable for the purpose and just as bright?
Guessing really
Cheers

how and where are you going to fit them?
remember that there are required dims for height and distance from the edge of the car.
if you are putting them on the wings it would be better not to have the back bit of the repeater rubbing against the wheel

I am pretty sure that wattage doesn't matter too much .... as long as they are bright enough to satisfy Mr SVA. Side repeaters are usually 5W
and will NOT be anywhere near bright enough to be used as a main indicator. You could try changing the bulbs to 10W jobbies and you MIGHT get away
with it but it is a gamble as 21W is the usual rating but they would probably melt the repeater

indicators
all good points found a pair on premier wiring website which run a 23w bulb and are "e" marked. After speaking to the chap he told me
they are from motorbike side ferrings.
Thanks all
