Building: an increasingly large carbon footprint!

A hard top?

Ive been thinking of buying a vinyl roof for my Raw Striker for a while but they aren't cheap. Just had a peek at another topic involving aerodynamics and saw a few 7esque cars with hard tops, which got me thinking. I'm not interested in the aerodynamics and i realise it'll be heavier than a textile one but I think it would look cool and probably more comfy inside as it wouldnt flap and smack you on the top of the head on the motorway. I was thinking of making an MDF mould or something with a perspex rear window. Any ideas?........[img]http://locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/a679916-P111207_17.11[01].JPG[/img]

Lotus stuck a hard top and gull wings on a se7en and took it gt racing in the sixties.

Can't find anything on the web, but it's in a book I have.

Roof? what are they? nobody told me I could get one.
What's that big perspex thing you've got in front of the driver?
These are the add-ons you need (if you look closely, you'll see there's a car in the picture

One of the best I've seen is the one Lukefab has on his car:

Haha, thats a nice striker, the bloke in the middle is mel coppock, he owns Raw, I asked him about hard roofs when I was at his workshop having mine pimped but he could only offer a textile one. Just been down to the garage and done some measurements and I reckon I may be able to get away with borrowing some carbon fibre from uni.......
