header tank location

Where is a good place to mount a coolant header tank. There is nothing on the chassis higher than the cylinderhead.

So long as it is the highest point in the *water* system you'll be fine. This may be quite a bit lower than the top of the cylinderhead on modern twincams (e.g. zetec)

header tank on the GRP scuttle seems a good idea but the aluminium plate underneath is covered with electrcal things on my car. teh tank will have to go over the ECU and the pipes out of the tank would be right over the ECU connectors. Will SVA man object to this?
