Bedford CF Beavertail

This will be going on ebay, and again I will post some pics as soon as I have some

1985 Bedford CF350 beavertail car transporter

I bought this a couple of years ago from a customer who left it with us as a failed engine conversion project (crazy guy wanted me to put an ex-LDV Pilot pug 1.9 non turbo engine in it!!! wouldn't move with that powerhouse in it!!)

It was a 2.0 petrol low compression jobbie with ZF dogleg 5 speed box, and the original bottom end was knocking.

I have now fitted a manta GTE 2.0 petrol engine, with weber 32-36 carb, new electric fuel pump and facet regulator, plus the manta gte electronic ignition and dizzy.

This is all up and running.

The chassis is totally rot free, has never been welded and certainly needs no welding. The cab floor is also rot free.

bad bits are: it has no MOT, and it will require a couple of new rear lights to pass. It has been stood for 18months or so now, so brakes will probably need some recomissioning ( I will try to get round to running it round the yard to see how good they are) it also has a little rot on the front wheel arches, which could be bodged up or welded properly. It's pretty good though rot wise, I've seen many worse on the road!! One of the headlamp reflectors looks a bit rough too, would think it would need that for MOT too. It also needs an exhaust system making up and fitting.

This would be a pretty easy project for someone with more time than me!!

I'm after £500 for it

cheers

Nat

Hello there,

Nat, is this still for sale?
I'd be interested in it if it was.
