Which Samco Hoses - R1 Vortx & Polo Radiator

Evenin all,

Can anyone tell me which hoses I need with a Polo Rad and R1 engine please.

I understand the Polo rad is 32mm and the R1 in 25mm but specifically which hoses do I need? Obviously a 32-25 convertor but what else,

Thanks in advance
Kind Rgds

Richie

hi ritchie

you will need 2 x 90 degree 32mm, 1 x 90 degree 25 - 32mm reducer , 1 x 32 - 25mm straight reducer, 1 x 45 degree 32mm

best regards

marc

Thanks Marc, I take it there are some aluminium tubes required aswell? And a length of smallish diameter tube to the header tank.

Thanks again

heres what ive got so far. i havent done any teeny-tiny hoses yet, just getting the bigger bore stuff in.

b&q do a 1m length of 32mm alu pipe , and a length of 25mm with a Z shape (ideal!). 6 and 4 quid i think. (tv section)

ive still got to look about for some of the hose to connect the oil cooler to the T-Piece., as the r1 hose is too short. (oh, i got the t-piece from MNR)

Thanks Rog, thats very useful.

Ingenious with the TV aerial poles Ill pick them up next time Im in.
Itll be a metal T piece your using for the T off to oil cooler is it?

Looks like youve used a slightly different configuration than Marc, am I right you have:
2 x 32mm 90 degree
2 x 32-25 straight reducers
1 x 32mm 45 degree

yep thats pretty much it so far. i guess if you can get a 90 degree reducer that'd cut down on having the bend+reducer seperate.
i did write down the size of the hose needed for the oil cooler today but ive lost it laready (doh!)
the t-piece is metal, yup.

cant take credit for the tv ariel idea im afraid, someone else on the forum had that gem of wisdom.

Yeh, you can get a 90 degree 32-25 and that would help. I wonder where Marc used the other 32mm 90 degree then.
