I am going to order my kit on Tuesday! Yippie!

Yes! The time has come! I lhave been longing for a seven for more than 10 years now. In fact in college, 12 years ago I promised myself and a good friend that I will have one in 10 years. He wanted one, too.
He changed plans and although he has 7 cars now, many tuned a drift racers, he skipped on the seven.
As for me, I have been on this forum for 2 years, have learned a lot from you all and it is through this forum that I came accross MNR.
I have been out in one thanks to Chockymonster, but his gearchange cable snapped right then, so I only experienced 1st gear in his car...
Never mind! I am going to visit MNR on Tuesday and place my order!!!
I teamed up with my dad and brother and we will build and use the car together.
The spec is more or less finalised, of course I will run through all with Chris and Marc.
I can't wait! By June I will hopefully have the kit in the garage in sunny Budapest! The first MNR in Hungary!

I just wanted to share our joy with you all and show you a couple of pictures we made from a photo I have seen here on the forum. It just shows how different colours would look. We have our choice already...
I will let you all know how it all went on Thursday when I am back in Hungary!

The bluey Pink colour of the first picture is a bit ... strong. Good choice of car though.

If I was doing another, I'd have the classic nose in carbon with a colour similar to number 4.

If anyone has a very old copy of Kit Car with the Caterham in the advert for the first ever season of the RGB, they'll get my meaning.

Hehe, you see, there is not a single colour out of the five that some of you didn't pick... Imagine how difficult it was for the three of us to come to a decision...

I use a software called PhotoStudio that came with my Canon flatbed scanner a long time ago. You can do the same with Photoshop, or any similar photo editing SW. I simply selected the picture, clicked Enhance, then clicked Hue and Saturation and adjusted the Hue. Very basic, but it is fine for the purpose...

Thanks Malc! That's great news!!! Please tell me it's one with one careful lady owner and only 3 miles on the clock...

The colour will be revealed on Thursday - who knows what I will decide on the spot when I see the RAL chart... and my co-builders won't be there to stop me...

tks: you have U2U

OK guys! I am back!

Here is the spec:
RT IB
'05 R1 engine with airbox
New nose, RAL2004 orange with black arches all round
13" CXRs with 888 tyres
Raceleda full front end
Paddleshift gearchange
4 core heater
and the usual stuff, savage switches, QR steering wheel boss, etc...

We still need to decide if the car will have a full cage or just the rollbar... I think it will be full cage, but we need to discuss with my co-builders...

I have to say that I am absolutely amazed at the professionalism of the kit, the quality of the stuff and most of all, the care and attention of both Chris and Mark and the whole MNR crew and Malc from Yorkshire Engines! I spent a full day with them, checking everything, walking around the workshop, asking tons of questions... Chris took me to and from the station, to the pubs...

Thanks a lot to all of you! I know it is going to be a smooth build and a great car! Can't wait until beginning of June!!
Cheers MNR + Yorkshire Engines!

I'm seriously jealous. I need to get a small matter of a wedding out the way in June 2009 before i can place my order for a kit car.

I'm selling my BMW and leaning out for the next year. Will buy a £500 banger to knock about in and start saving but i'm hell bent on building one of these seven style kit cars. Good things things comes to those who wait. Erm i think thats the guiness advert.

Blue looks awesome!!
