driveshafts

I bought a diff from ebay

This one

with no driveshafts its goin to be chain driven.
Ive made a loverly case, got the bearings made the adjusterble mounting plates for chain tightness come to fit it..... And realised I got no drive shafts DOH!!

Is there a way of measuring them ? or are they a standard size (the splined bit)
ill have to make up a certain length so i'll buy one chop it and balance it. there are drive shafts coming off of the wheels so im left with female part coming off the wheels and female part goin in to the diff.
but what one do I buy HELP !!! lol

what drive shafts do you have that need joined to the diff.

We done something that sounds similar to what you've done but with an atlas diff and vw lobro joints and had no luck with home made shafts going out to the driveshafts, they would either break or chew up cv joints alarmingly quick!!!!
