First legal drive out

Took my first legal outing today and did 30ish miles as a shakedown.

Everything went fine and the car was resposive although I didn't open it up due to damp roads followed by a thunderstorm. As Mark says its only water... yeah right.

I tiptoed home on the R888's as I've read too many horror stories on here.

I managed to fit the decals this morning, I like them any way. I do have a double viper stripe to go down the bonnet but I'm undecided as to whether to fit it or not.

A couple of jobs to do.

1 raise and move the seat forward

2 adjust the mirrors

3 probably fit seat pads

4 fit show plate to front

Here are some pics of the finished car

Phil, i couldn't see over my screen either, colin is also a short arse and said about some Foam Workshop matt ( for laying on ) from machine mart.

£15 for a large bit, and i cut some out to shape the seat and its perfect, its 1.5" thick.

Like it a lot, Be interesting to see the viper stripes as well. If you decide to fit them.

Inspiration for mine, if I needed it!

Phil

I like it !

I also like the one wheel on the grass approach - start as you mean to go on!

Hopefully I'll see it at Pembrey tomorrow!

Regards

Wyn

That looks absolutely cracking

Like the fog light - better to have one that does it's job than one that simply passes the test.

Like the chequer decals too, but IMHO the cobra stripes would be OTT and detract from the clean look of the car.

Realy like the sunken hand brake set-up too - is that a standard Mac#1 feature? Is the tunnel taller to accomodate it?

I took a pic of yours at Newark as i like the aeroscreen - Do you know where to get these from (are they standard Mac1 kit) and whether i would have trouble fitting to a tiger avon?
