Speedo not working

Hi Guys,
My greengauges speedo is not working. It lights up with the lights and the LCD display is on with and without ignition. I am using a small sensor with two magnets on the prop. Think the problem is there. How can I check the sensor is working?
Cheers,
Pat....

Hi Pat

Is it the small reed switch type? If so you can test the speedo by connecting a switch instead of the sensor and flicking it on and off repeatedly. you can also test the sensor by fitting a lamp or meter between the switch wire and the chassis and spinning the prop, the lamp should flash

Think it's a reed switch. Will try a switch as this will eliminate the speedo. Can't spin the prop though as the engine and g/box are all fitted and tunnel top on.

Yeah, tried the website but no joy. Mine is a small threaded bar, about 5mm diameter with a red/black wire.
