FS - 2009 MK IndyBlade
Unfortunately after much deliberation I'm having to sell my 2009 MK IndyBlade
This car is not for the faint hearted, it's a seriously quick car. Weighing only 490Kg and being powered by a high performance Honda Fireblade
engine (approx 130Bhp) this stunning car has over 260Bhp/Ton and will hit 60mph from a standstill in a little over 4 seconds. Built by myself (a BMW
technician) in 2008/09 and registered on 1 June 2009 this car has only covered 1500 miles. Due to the light weight of the car and the size of the
engine this vehicle not only gives blistering performance but also returns an average of 28Mpg with my best return of 37Mpg.
Taxed to the end of 11/2010

Yup, have to agree, fine looking car
Unfortunately about 3 or 4 years ahead of time, exactly the type of car I'll be looking for, for my daugther to own for a year before bringing
it back to Oz for me.

Thats very misleading. The issuing of a Q plate by the DVLA has absolutely no relevance to the emissions testing performed by VOSA for the SVA / IVA.
Its whatever the engine was tested as when it had its SVA / IVA done. The Q plate ruling applies only to cars pre SVA.

That may be my mistake then, I was told on here that as a Q plate I will be visual smoke only. I'll clarify tonight after I've checked the
emmisions for the car.

How have you got 130 BHP out of that engine?
I've had lots of 919 blades on the rollers and get around 120 bhp on them all. Thats with a good exhaust, K&N and Dynojet fitted in my race
car!

Nice car that. The smoke is tested at old car standards 3.5co and 1200hc's.

I'm familiar with that website and the figures on there. I'm not trying to ruffle your feathers but if your basing you 130 bhp on that
site its inaccurate. Your engine is quoted as 124bhp, I bet you will see nearer to 115bhp at best
A guy I raced with spent a LOT of money on a 919 blade. He had a lot of head work done including flow bench testing, he then spent a lot of money on
a fancy exhaust as well as a fully balanced bottom end with new pistons and rods. Finally vernier's and high lift long duration
'lumpy' cams. He saw 130bhp+ but it made for a dreadful engine in the bottom and middle of the rev range.
So, returning to the reason for my question; you may have achieved 130 bhp by other means? In which case I was interested to know some of your
secrets?

Depends if you are talking rear wheel HP or HP at the crank. There are plenty of "standard" blades with good airbox and pipes that can
reach 130bhp at the crank. I would guess that this is the figure Mark refers to.

I checked today at work, The MOT manual states that the emissions limits for this car are as stated on the V5 logbook. I just checked the log book
and the emissions limits are all blank. Not sure what that means so I've removed the line from the original advert.

Carpmart, I don't see why you should have so much trouble achieving 2Bhp above standard on a tuned engine. As it says in the advert it is only
an approximate figure and as progers said above I was refering to the crank power.

Neither did I but they just don't reach the power everyone claims they do, including Mr Honda!
What they lack in power they EASILY make up for in reliability!
Its a good observation that I am referring to wheel hp not crank!
