Battery size
Right gents, having spent the last 20mins(slow reader) looking through old post about batteries,
Could anyone tell the smallest battery that will start a X-flow engined locost?

This battery will crank and run a 4.5 ltr V8.
without any problems.

If you're looking for a lightweight battery that will fit almost anywhere and turn the crossflow over, try buying one of those rechargeable
battery packs (the ones you can use for starting cars) from somewhere like Makro. Apparently, they are fitted with gel batteries which will cost you
an arm and a leg if you buy them from DT's etc. Take it apart and throw away everything apart from ther battery!

Maybe this will help?
Hawker GP13EP sealed battery, which is amazingly small but supposedly more than capable of operating in a small car like a Locost with few
accessories. Very small, very light, very powerful. Can be mounted in any position. The steel block shown as size reference beside the battery is
1"x2"x3".
I paid $25 for it (new) from an EV (electric vehicle) parts place. You probably have EV's in the UK?
