Austin mini metro Alternator connectors RV8

Here is the alternator I have for my Rover V8. Does anyone know what each of the connectors do and what they should be wired to? I thought alternators were supposed to have 2 connections?

The two big spades (alternator output) are common and should be connected to the battery.
The small spade is warning lamp which should be wired to a one side of a lamp, the other side of the lamp should be connected to a switched live.
