Rubber covered toggle switches

Anyone know how SVA would view a bank of toggle switches on the dash.

All have a rounded tip and will have a waterproof "jonny" on them.

Is this a no no and an excuse to buy a load of Savage switches?

Although I do prefer the look of the toggles.

stick with the toggles.

if needs be, you could rig up something like they have for the new MINI, with semicircular hoops between the toggles, so the contactable edge is the hoops, not the toggles.
i'd think the boots would make the toggle ends radiused enough, and would be deformable, but then again, i don't have any to measure.

if you do end up fitting savages, you'll fit in really well in saville town, so don't!

I suspect that what you have in mind would not pass.
However this might be of interest. It is the dashboard in a Spyker - note how the toggles are surrounded by pieces of metal to stop the SVA tester's sphere contacting them Rescued attachment Spyker.jpg

I think that plastic toggles would be ok since they would break under impact - I think the SVA manual specifically allows this.
