cortina brake light sensor?
Hi guys, nearly finished my wiring but was halted by the fact that the cortina master cylinder doesn't have a pressure switch built in. Should
this switch be fitted in my plumbing? if so what do you need?

yes brake switch, T piece where rear brake pipe goes into master cylinder?

Darren,
t-peice anywhere convenient in the pipeline for the FRONT brakes (rear brakelines generate less pressure so you have to brake a lot more heavily
before the brake lights come on)
If possible, fit the switch with the wires pointing towards the ground. This will get rid of a point where air can get trapped in the tee peice
during bleeding.

Can't you still buy a MK1 Golf new in SA? Can't be that hard to get spares!

or a micro switch resting on the pedal, no plumbing worries then.
the Cortina don't have an inline brake switch, its under dash resting on pedal............
