VAG COM features?

Does anyone here use VAG-COM? does it have the ability to recode a new ECU to a car?

Thanks Craig.

I've used it on the missus' old mk4 Golf TDI and my 02 A4. Recoded it after retro fitting the cruise control and the newer SCM. There's a wiki on what all the modules mean and what values are needed.
All you need then is the USB cable. Think I paid a tenner for mine.

Used it with freeware version to diagnose a dashboard light on my Mk4 Gt Tdi. The freeware version just enabled you to find out the fault, but is limited on resetting them.
Luckily mine reset itself when I changed the bit acting up.

Yes you can and it's dead easy. You're actually coding the ECU to the immobiliser built into the instrument cluster.
