this is a plenum I made up to do vac advance on dizzy same thing needed to work brake servo but the nipple that's left on number four inlet could be used for servo

Cheers guys, that's cleared it up a bit. I had all of those vent pipes blanked off...Would this cause the fuel spilling out the carbs issue with them being blanked? I'll be able to go to the car tomorrow so I'll remove the blanks and see how it goes. One of the flaps on cylinder one though is quite stiff, it doesn't open or close near as niceley as the rest do.

I would take it out and clean the slider all four have to work the same

Okay will do. Need to change the inlet gasket anyway. All being well should be able to get it going
