Glasses guide price needed

Can anyone give me the book prices trade/private for a 2001/51 1.6 Beetle
Parkers online gives £3880 dealer, £3355 private for 80000 mls
Interested to compare as I think they may be a little low?
At least thats what the dealer told us today as I offered £4200 for a car with £4600 on the window (55000 mls)
No it's not for me it's for my daughter

Cheers
Colin

Jesus, I'll be your daughter if you'll buy me a four grand car!
No idea about price but it wouldn't surprise me to hear a dealership overcharging for a car!

A bird in the hand....

You can get it online Colin, but it'll cost you £3.99 (cheap if it saves you a bit off the sticker price!).

I didn't say i was paying for it

Dealership and overcharging, yes i agree.
But..... I apprecaite they have to make a bit of money, and in return the buyer gets somthing between jack sh1t and a great service with 12 months warranty.
In this case ther was no warranty other than legal obligation (jack sh1t and a bit).
So taking into account the comndition of the car I am trying to see whetehr i was being cheeky or they unrealistic

The best I could do without spending cash, was the free glass' valuation on the Vauxhall site.

Have a go yourself, just click on the "finance" button, then "value your car"...
