Thanks Dave,

Going to Derby, just trying to find the address now and the nearest petrol station.

Two jobs left to do, attached the chassis plate and fix the side repeaters so they can be seen from the rear.

I fell foul of the side repeaters, mine were on the edge of the rear wing, but more than 2.6m from car front!! Didn't think the car was as long as it is!!!

blimey, didn't realise there was a limit. Mine will be on the wing mirrors, just need to figure out how to do it, but reasonable straight forward to do.

I would recommend Nottingham, they will do everything they can to get you a pass.

Took mine to Nottingham, although Derby was nearer. Derby rumoured to be staffed by IVA Gestapo!!

Hi,
I see you are quite local. You'd be warmly welcomed to the Northants group meeting if you fancied coming along.

Had a frantic day today sorting out fogs, sorted with help from A friend.

Got car up to temp and sprang a leak on one of the hoses, tightened it up and the clamp busts!!! So found another one and it stopped it

Then the fans didn't kick in !!! Took side panels off to see if loose wire, nope. Checked the fuse at the batt, blown, damn 1hr wasted.

All sorted now, batt on trickle charge, jump start battery on charge.

All paper work ready, tools ready.

Glass of wine and early night. For the 4th night running, I will be wide awake at 2am

Looking forwards to it strangely

Hi All,

Well, it failed, but I am not unhappy.

Had a great experience at Derby, Roy was the tester and what a great guy he is

I will do a proper write up over the next couple of days to help others of what things I had to do / change / pointers, but here are my fail points :-

1) Noise - recorded 102.8 - decibel killers?

2) Park Brake - no reserve travel ( passed efficiency though )

3) Brake performance - should be split 60/40 to the front - mine totally reserved - head scratching time ???

4) Front indicators - we all know this one - simple, remove them and put LEDS on the mirrors

5) Headlamps - lamps putting up and right - should be left!! wrong lenses which I will need to source.

And thats it

Did fail on emissions - double permissible but allowed me to phone a friend, he even rang his Friend who told me how to adjust the carb correctly

Roy tried his best to help me get the car through but the above was not rectifiable on the day.

Great day out, even drove home, loved it

Strangely happy and disappointed at the same time

Well done....doesn't look too bad, nothing major to sort there.

Can I just ask how long it took from posting application to receiving IVA date??

Hi,

After options on proportional valves and IVA- want to use one to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes.

Will this be ok?
