Intro to Sprinting Day

Shenstone & District Car Club are holding an “Intro to Sprinting” day at Curborough Sprint Course on Sunday April 13th 2014.
This event is aimed at anyone who has NEVER sprinted before, but has an interest in becoming involved.
Visitors will be guided through all aspects of a Sprint, including walking the course, paperwork, safety, car preparation etc.
They will then have the opportunity of driving the course in their own ROAD CAR (must be ROAD LEGAL in all respects) with an “Instructor” alongside.
The event begins at 09.30am on Sunday April 13th, last entry 12 Noon.
Refreshments will be available as normal (This is not free!!!!)
There is no booking involved, just turn up, but subject to demand there may be a small wait.

Thought this might interest a few people - gives me a deadline to finish my car to

This is an excellent way to get a taste of sprinting. My son competes at Curborough and has acted as an "Instructor" at previous events. Sprinting can be a relatively inexpensive way of enjoying motorsport. But like any other can develop into requiring a deeper pocket if you move through the classes, away from road going. Tremendous fun and highly recommended.
The first event of the season for club members takes place this coming Sunday!!

I'm hoping to go, I've never been to curborough or done any sprinting before but I've joined shenstone and district car club this year.
I've just filled the entry form in for the event on the 5th May for the 'figure of 8 circuit' so going to the 'introduction to sprinting' should be good.
