Sprinting at 'the Heath', anyone doing it this year?

Chaps

I was planning on doing as many of the sprint meets at Barkston Heath this year and was curious if anyone else was planning on doing some or all of them too?

The first one is 13th April, with a tack day on Sat 12th. I intend to be there for both. I've not done any sprints there before, would welcome any advice, background or insight?

Cheers

Sprinting is about doing the perfect run from the moment you leave the line....focus is everything. Don't overdrive, smooth & accurate is faster than power slids. Lower your tyre pressures and remember you have little or no heat in the tyres/brakes on the first time you turn or brake.

Apart from that ....Enjoy !

I am pleased I can help, that was a genuine response. i don't have a row of pots at home from going slow and braking.

With regards to your first sprint the most important thing is practise is practise. Most people seem to go mental and not learn the corse properly.
Just watch what is going on and everyone will be more than happy to give advise(might be a bit better then mine of course). The person you park next to will look after you and show you the ropes, this is what happened to me.

Last one make sure you have a really good time

I've done quite a bit of racing, so I should be OK.

Cheers
