Any car dedicated songs out there?

hi all.
I had a thought today as i listened to another love related churned out pop song on radio one. I thought that if i could write music i would write a song about cars, racing or the emotions that either make.
Well we can all think of awsome driving songs and songs that have lyrics that could be about cars but are there songs that lyrically and contextally all about cars, racing or the emotions?
Final thought is that if a song had lyrics about fine summer driving and had a great melody would it be the best driving song ever?

How about this offering from the Lambrettas,

There's a girl livin' down out street
She used to be mine
She used to go out with me
But now she's left with the boy next door
Because he's bought a Cortina Ford

She gives him love on the leatherette
Steamin' up the glass
Because I've seen her
But she only loves him because he's got at Cortina

Column change is neat neat neat
Gives you room for manoeuvre on the front bench seat
And the disc brakes hold you if you're inclined
The rear light clusters are a modern design

She gives him love on the leatherette
Steamin' up the glass
Because I've seen her
But she only loves him because he's got at Cortina

And I wish I had
I wish I had
I really wish I had a Cortina

It's a guarantee of sexual conquest
But be sure to choose a model with retractable arm-rest
And if she wants to make up
You can really suprise her
There's a vanity mirror on the nearside visor

She gives him love on the leatherette
Steamin' up the glass
Because I've seen her
But she only loves him because he's got at Cortina

And I wish I had
I wish I had
I really wish I had a Cortina

Had some cash you know what I'd do
Read the ads in the local rag
Buy a little Mark II
Wheel trims
Everything
Four door
Two speeds wipers
Goin' in for the kill elbow on the windowstill
Flickin' on the cigarette lighter

And then you know she'd give me love on the leatherette
Steamin' up the glass
Because I've seen her
But she only loves him because he's got at Cortina

And I wish I had
I wish I had
I really wish I had a Cortina
Hey

A pint for the gent and a white wine/fruit based drink for the lady. Those are the rules

There are probably 1000's of songs about cars but the very first one I remember hearing was "Beep Beep" by The Playmates.

Beep Beep

Sabotage is a great tune... no doubt! But its car link is tenuous when considered in context of the OP's question...

Wow there are loads!!

I could not think of any. I will sit down after dinner and give them all a listen.

From what I can see (no offense meant!) all of the artists seem to be from quite some time ago. Any modern ones?

I think Riana did a song called 'shut up and drive' but I think they were the only petrolhead words in it!!

One of the best songs on this list. I feel ashamed to say that I have NEVER heard this song. I feel educated now!!

Daytona by Chris Rea has to be as much about a car as you get! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf2j5R988-M

A load of Springsteen stuff has car/driving based themes.

Steve Earle, Sweet little 66.

One of the top ten for me has to be Telegraph Road by Dire Straits (you'll need a spare 1/4hr to listen to it!)

You have to watch yourself when driving, it starts slow & gets faster, as does your car if you get carried away!

I think that was more about sex, given that she's "R+B" and aimed at 14 year olds...
