Luego Velocity project for sale

Looking to sell my unfinished Luego Velocity. I attempted to sell this before, but had very little interest so I’m attempting it again!

Everything bar mirrors, screen and other little bits (electrical conecors p-clips and so on IVA covers) are there to finish. It just needs a little time which I don't have at the moment.

Pictures can be seen in my profile (I hope)

The car is based in Derby and I would like £3500 but I am open to offers.

Spec:
-The kit a velocity xt powder coated black chassis with blue GRP
-2 Sierra log books
-Twin 40 Dellortos and manifold
-2.0 Zetec silver top with pre 95 letter from ford. The timing belt and water pump replaced (For one which spins the correct way) and shorter escort sump fitted
-Full stainless exhaust (Made by shiny bits in Sheffield)
-Weber alpha 3d engine management
-Polo rad and pacet cooling fan
-Facet fuel pump and filter king pressure regulator
-Wiring loom (Vicki green)
-Chrome headlamps and lenses
-Round rear lamps (NAS style)
-Gaz 2&1/4 coil overs
-Quick rack & solid rack mounts (Rally design tec-rac)
-Greengauges clocks (Speed, Tacho, fuel, oil pressure, coolant temp, oil temp and volts)
-Savage switches and warning lights
-Cobra roadster seats and runners in tan colour with blue trim
-Willians harneses (not fitted)
-Carpet materials (Not fitted)
-17" alloys and tyres
-Alloy fuel tank
-Sierra discs brakes and callipers all round
-keyless immobiliser (not fitted) and battery master switch
-all brake lines and flexi's fitted
-Westfield alternator mounting kit
-New cluch
-Silicon hoses, ali t-pieces/pipes
-Ali catch tank and expansion tank

The car starts, runs smooth, drives and stops. All the electrics work. Some of the wiring could do with shortening behind the dash to make it look smarter but this wouldn’t be essential.

I have receipts for just about everything ever bought.

To finish the car needs:
Nose cone, bonnet and front wings fitting,
Seats and harnesses fitting,
Exhaust surround making and fitting
Brake bias setting up
Side repeaters fitting to rear arches
Mirrors buying and fitting
Aero screen buying and fitting
Parcel Shelf making and fitting

Then preparation for IVA, and I intended to have the suspension and carbs set up properly.

The car could easily be on the road before summer

I am sure somebody put a post up about a part built large chassis wanted last week. Have a trawl through and see what you can find.

It was a newbie.

It is a velocity which is a standard size car, the Viento is the large one. Saying that I fit in at 6ft 3", and there would be even more room if the cobra roadster seats were changed for GRP or carbon ones..

I'll have a trall anyway and see if he is still looking.

Thanks for pointing it out!

I'm surprised no one has bitten your hand off, looks like a nice tidy car. If I only I had some spare cash, good luck with the sale.

It has just sold to a chap in Nottingham. I don't think he has a account on here at the moment but I am sure he will have before long! He got a bit of a bargin at £2900 which is less than I was hoping for, but I have a pretty big urge for a VX220 track car!

Thanks for the intrest all!

Good to see that you have joined!

I gather Matt has another Velocity in there as well now! I will have to get over and have a look at some point..

Garage is still empty, but that should be changing soon

Matts got his little project in here now yes. He`s been quite busy stripping back to bare bits ready for a rebuild. Ive been spending most nights on the car.

Seat mounting points in
Dash being modified
Adjusted pedal box to suit my big feet
got all body panels off ready for painting prep
adjusting the gearstick with a swan neck to allow more access
replaced wheel studs to suit alloys
bead blasted rocker cover in prep for painting
stone guarded inside all GRP panels
going to run fuel line sometime this week

Had her up and purring which was nice. Promised myself not to start her now until shes 100% driveable.

the list goes on.

Probably gone backwards a bit with the progress for IVA, but its fun adding personal touches.

Your quite welcome to come over to the workshop sometime. Just let me know when you fancy it.

Any ideas anyone where I could get an aero screen from.
